Chronocide is a premium action game where players thwart hordes of undead from entering temporal portals using strategic combat. Whether playing solo or in a co-op mode with up to four players, your goal is to protect civilization by creatively eliminating enemies. 

Chronocide blends tower defense mechanics with cooperative gameplay, much like Orcs Must Die! 3, where players also fend off waves of enemies using various traps and weapons. By completing levels and earning stars, players can upgrade their heroes and equipment to face increasingly challenging scenarios, ensuring a rewarding and engaging experience.

Safeguard temporal portals with ingenious tactics

In Chronocide, players must strategically place traps and utilize weapons to prevent enemies from reaching temporal portals, saving civilization in the process. The game allows each hero to acquire neutral traps and weapons, as well as certain unique ones exclusive to them. They can earn up to five stars per level, with each star providing more points to upgrade their hero, traps, and weapons, making the strategy dynamic and rewarding.

The base game encompasses the first three acts of the main story arc. Progressing through these acts unlocks more traps, weapons, and items that enhance the gameplay experience. Completing the campaign also opens up additional game modes, providing a variety of challenges and extending replayability. The four available heroes—Waldis, Rolanda, Mike, and Anthia—play distinct roles and complement each other well, encouraging diverse strategies in co-op gameplay.

The game offers both solo and co-op gameplay of up to four players, accommodating different player preferences. It is designed to be challenging, but players can switch to a casual difficulty mode if they find a level particularly tough, albeit at the cost of earning fewer stars upon completion. As the game is currently in Early Access, it means that footage, content, and gameplay are subject to change.
